Seoul · Gyeongju · Busan
Three metropolises where the modern and the traditional meet: in Seoul the palaces of the Joseon Dynasty stand in the shadow of glass towers, in Gyeongju the temples and royal tombs of the Silla Kingdom lie in the heart of the city, and in Busan fish markets and mountain temples meet a skyline by the sea. The train connects all three within a few hours. We plan the journey so that you experience both: the pace of the cities and the stillness of their oldest places.

* All prices are guide prices per person and exclude international flights, which we design and book on request. Actual costs vary with travel dates, availability and individual adjustments. Your exact proposal is prepared after the initial consultation.
Our three packages range from €2,100 to €5,400 per person for 10 to 12 days, including accommodation, transfers and train tickets. International flights are extra, we design and book them on request. In a no-obligation initial consultation we define what your journey should include and prepare a transparent proposal.
Ten to twelve days are ideal. Seoul, with its palaces, neighbourhoods and markets, needs the most time, four to six nights. Gyeongju reveals itself in two nights, Busan with its coast and temples in three. The journey runs in one direction from Seoul via Gyeongju to the coast, with a night in Seoul before your flight home.
By train. South Korea's rail network links Seoul, Gyeongju and Busan quickly and reliably. Tickets are included in every package, in first class on Dynastic Trails where available. We also arrange the transfers to and from the stations.
A hanok is the traditional Korean house of wood, clay and tiles, with a curved roof and an inner courtyard. In Gyeongju, the old royal capital, Dynastic Trails includes two nights in a hanok, or alternatively in a hotel of 4 stars or more. We decide together in the initial consultation which suits you best.
Spring and autumn. In April the cherry trees blossom, in October and November the leaves turn around palaces and temples. Summer is hot and humid and brings the rainy season, winter is clear and cold. We plan the journey to suit the season.
