Chobe National Park has one of Africa's largest elephant populations. In the afternoon the herds come to the river to drink and bathe, best seen from a boat.

The Makgadikgadi Pans are an endless white plain on the edge of the Kalahari. Meerkats, ancient baobabs and, after the rains, thousands of migrating zebras.

Botswana follows a low volume, high value approach to tourism. Small camps on large private areas mean sightings without other vehicles and true silence at night.

A doors-off scenic flight, one hour over the Okavango Delta. From above you see the water branch into hundreds of channels, elephant herds move through the lagoons and hippos carve their paths into the reeds. A view you never get from the ground.
Late afternoon on the Chobe River, just you and your guide on board. Elephant herds come to the bank to drink and bathe, hippos and crocodiles lie in the shallows. At sunset there is a sundowner on the water.
