Kibale Forest has one of the highest primate densities in Africa. You hear the chimpanzees long before you see them, their calls echo through the whole forest.

In the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park lions rest by day in the branches of old fig trees. On the Kazinga Channel you meet hippos and elephants.

Here the Nile forces its way through a gap in the rock only seven metres wide. Below the falls live crocodiles, hippos and a rich variety of birds.

Kibale Forest is considered the best place in East Africa to see chimpanzees. With a ranger you follow the calls of a group through the forest and watch them feed, play and quarrel for an hour. Combines well with gorilla trekking.
